In another realm lived a girl named Clara of the family Silberhaus, born to parents of high regard and a bossy but well-intentioned older brother. Clara was a thoughtful girl, shy, keeping mostly to herself during the many parties her mother and father threw.

Little did she know that her beloved (adopted) uncle, Herr Drosselmeyer, was a portal jumper and surprised her one evening with an excursion into the Land of Sweets, Confiturembourg. There she fought alongside his godson, the Nutcracker Prince himself, against the army of Malevolent Mice, aiding in the defeat of the Mouse King.

The Sugarplum Fairy, ruling the land in the Prince's absence, showered Clara with many greetings and a festival of gratitude, where the citizens of Confiturembourg met the young lady who protected their home. The Prince asked for her to join the court, for he had never met another so courageous (so he said!), and he could not possibly rule this kingdom without her to help him. And she, ever so flattered by his words and attracted to the prince, eagerly accepted. It was then that Clara became a defender and diplomat, a member of the Order of the Gingerbread.

Until the age of darkness. When the great curse struck the Enchanted Forest, the North became a wasteland of constant blizzards, avalanches taking down villages by the week. Helpless, even with Fairy magic, the royals of Confiturembourg know not how to defend their own against the evil that looms over their heads.
